Rock & Stick digger
Crendon Machinery have been manufacturing Rock & Stick diggers since 1989. These machines has proven to be the most effective way of cleaning ground prior to planting crops.
The Crendon Machinery Heavy Duty Rock & Stick Digger has two hydraulic variable power shakers to remove dirt from rocks & sticks. The front shakers' oscillation is two thirds of the travel of the back shakers. The amount of shake can be varied from 25mm through to 180mm while working. With this shaking system the correct amount of oscillation is applied for fast digging and extended web belt life.
P. T. O. clutch protects any overloading of drive components.
Clearance of 700mm between belt and frame so that rocks and stumps up to 700mm can be handled safely by the machine.
Shear pin on the P.T.O. yoke ensures protection from any overloading from the clutch being adjusted incorrectly or frozen.
Bin capacity is 2 m3. Bin discharges from the bottom, ensuring a fast tipping cycle.
The additional P. T. O. telescopic slide in the front bearing mount reduces the wear on the P.T.O. tubes.
The heavy duty T. Gearbox drives both the web belt (via a transmission chain which is oiled automatically) and the shakers (via a crank axle and rocker arm).
Two hydraulic rams raise and lower the mouth. A depth indicator assists in maintaining a constant digging depth. Drawbar hitch has a greasable ball assembly.
Rock Digger mouth is 1600mm wide and has hard wearing cutting edges.
Individual mouth flaps allow small rocks to travel up the front of the belt .
Tractor requirements: Minimum of 80 hp 4WD with two sets of hydraulic remotes & trailer electrical socket for operating a third set of hydraulic functions (bin tipping).
Tyres provided by client (minimum 14.9" x 24").
The Web Belt under the mouth is protected by steel bars from damage caused by large rocks.
Web Belt idlers are rubber coated with sealed bearing for long life.
Strip brushes remove dirt from the web belt and swing up to let big rocks pass.
Heavy duty web belt and drive sprockets are manufactured specially for the Crendon Rock & Stick Digger. It is a 4 web belt with hardened 12mm bars.
