Apple FunPark History

 The Apple FunPark was designed, researched, purchased and vastly funded by Crendon Machinery ensuring that it would be unique in almost every part, as the major tourist attraction for Donnybrook . Well worth a visit

The biggest free entry Fun Park in Australia, worth over $2 million, is in Donnybrook WA, which was opened at Easter 2008. The park has play equipment for all ages - from toddlers to teenagers and is situated on the corner of Collins and Reserve St (off South West Highway).

The Apple FunPark was designed, researched, purchased and vastly funded by Crendon Machinery of Donnybrook.   Many other local businesses, charities and families also helped with the funding of things other than play equipment .  

Thanks must go to all the volunteers who made it possible!

The partners of Crendon Machinery decided to do something unique for Donnybrook, which would not have happened through any other means.  After much deliberation it was decided that a large playground would achieve our aim of

bulletEncouraging tourism to visit the town
bulletEncourage fitness and activity for all ages
bulletBringing all age groups of family together at one meeting point
bulletTo provide a free facility that did not require supervision

Its disappointing that the shire has not kept it at its best & have ostracized the major donor, and removed some play equipment which could of have been avoided by preventative maintenance. The donors feel shire management of the Apple FunPark is disappointing.  Some senior staff  and some councillors consultation with the major donor is also disappointing. They are refusing to return all removed equipment and burring it instead!!

The big play equipment towers, Rock Wall & Rope Pyramid was purchased from PCarso Play Designs

All the other play equipment came from Kin Play  www.kinplay.com

All the equipment complies with Australian Standards.
