Two Bin Trailer -  Automatic Park Brakes

This new Dual purpose trailer can be moved along orchard rows by a Squirrel with self hitching & unhitching, or towed with an ATV or a tractor for ground picking.

 

  The advantages of this configuration are:

bulletTwo bins are kept close to the Squirrel so less time is spent travelling to and from bins at the end of a row, increasing productivity and less bruising of fruit
bulletAutomatic fail safe brakes allows trailer to be parked safely at all times.
bulletSquirrel can pull one trailer safely under normal conditions with safety measures preventing unsafe loads being applied. Operates within Occupational Health & Safety standards .
bulletMore flexible than a set of forks on cherry picker which only handle one bin and forks protrude annoyingly.
bulletEasy self hitching and unhitching the trailer safely from the Squirrel without leaving the cage.
bulletNarrow, only 1.22m wide allowing easy access down narrow rows. No protruding steps or over hanging wheels.
bulletTrailers are towed with a 4 wheel bike, a tractor or a vehicle back to shed. A draw-bar hitch on the rear allows several trailers to be pulled in tandem saving time.
bulletA frame on the rear of the trailer holds two plastic fruit crates for pickers storage or tarp purposes increasing productive and quality.
bulletBins are kept as low to the ground as possible with three easy adjustable height settings. This provides an excellent low trailer for ground picking.
Splash guards behind the front and rear wheels prevent mud splashing into bins.
bulletA smooth ride and flotation is provided by low pressure new  410mm (16") diameter , 150mm ( 6”) wide tyres. Wheels have high speed greasible bearings with seal protector for long life.
bulletEconomically priced.

Two plastic fruit crates at the rear for pickers storage, water, jumper, squirrel petrol, etc.

Draw-bar has two towing holes, a large hole for the Squirrel and a standard hole for vehicles.
